  • 1st of 3 visits, looking forward to our 4th!!
Couldn’t recommend it highly enough !
Not sure how anyone can write anything negative about this place . We go away regularly and have stayed on many different 4-5star retreats. My partner and I can be quite fussy and do require a high standard my partner can be particularly critical! However Neither of us could fault this Beautiful cottage and we have got to thank both Linda and Mo for the exceptional welcome over the last few months.
Unfortunately due to our mum being very poorly we have recently needed to visit Bodfari several times. However finding these beautiful cottages has made our visit far more comfortable and pleasurable than one could expect given the circumstances. We have also stayed at the coach House which we absolutely LOVE . Sadly we don’t always manage to get in as it is very popular! Nowhere else near Bodfari compares for us now! My mum commented it didn’t feel right for us to go elsewhere as it felt like our place 🙂 it’s nice to pretend ! Both Glan Clwyd Isa and he Coach House are beautiful.
The first visit was with our newborn baby and our 5 yr old son which was particularly nerve racking due to the heavy snow! However Mo, the lady who cleans the cottages went above and beyond to do all she could to help us arrive safely and more so to help me feel relaxed after the awful journey!!
Going anywhere with small children can be stressful especially arriving in bad weather conditions in the middle of the night but as soon as we got there we instantly felt at home. The heating was on and the cottage was cleaned to a high standard. Everything we could have wished for was to hand and we quickly felt like it was our own little holiday retreat.
We didn’t expect to receive any kind of welcome hamper so the few little extras that were there on arrival were greatly appreciated. What I love most about these cottages is the decor and tranquility . It is very much to our taste and gives a lovely warm cosy feeling. We are looking forward to returning at the end of the week!!

  • Think we were the last people on the Offa’s Dyke this year in November . We were walking South to North and stayed with Hughie and Linda . Looked after from the moment we arrived, to the lift back to the path in the morning. We were concerned about the extra walk off the path to the house but there was no need to worry! got picked up and taken back. Even a lift to the local pub. Fantastic food, table booked by Hugh didn’t have to think about a thing . Can highly recommend this stunning farm . Booking a cottage today for the summer holidays . Looking forward to our return .

  • Well worth the slight detour off the Offa’s Dyke Path for the penultimate night of the walk. Very comfortable and pleasant room with all the facilities needed. Friendly and helpful host – plus much appreciated lift back to the Path the following morning. Great way to close the holiday. Thanks!

  • We stayed one night during an intensive walking holiday and found Hugh very caring and accommodating. He drove to fetch us off the walk, organised for us to eat at a local pub and drove us there with instructions to phone a taxi on our return. We phoned 6 local numbers and found that they were not willing to pick us up as a fare. We phone Hugh in desperation and he drove straight over to pick us up – nothing was too much trouble.
We had a lovely fresh pot of coffee at breakfast and a very tasty cooked breakfast.
